A website is a modern and essential tool in running today's business. It projects professionalism and trust, a first port of call to introduce you and your ethics.

It also provides a base between you and your customers, a showcase of your work, a paperless place in which you can interact, drive sales and retain engagement.

And besides, who wants all that paperwork anyway?

The cost of a website all depends on the content!

A website can vary from a single page, with basic information and contact details, to an in-depth business hub, with multiple user accounts, online shop, booking system and many more complex features. In a nutshell, it all depends on how much work there is, and how long it will take me to do. Because of this, I do not have set fees, preferring to quote on an individual basis.

I also understand that we all have different budgets, and am happy to discuss any extra assistance you may require, including payment by instalment.

It all starts with your domain. Do you fancy a .com or a .co.uk?

There are also other options, such as .uk, .biz and many more, but the most common are the com or co.uk. Usually, your domain is your business name, but it can be whatever you want it to be!

You can shop around for your own domain or I can do this for you. Some companies offer great start up deals, with domains from a mere pound for the first year, so it's always good to do your research before committing. Again, I'm more than happy to do this for you if you prefer, and I will never add on any extra fees. The domain is registered under your details and the invoice will be generated directly to you for payment, via the domain company.

The same applies for hosting. Hosting is basically the space in which your website resides, and is usually 'rented' monthly or annually for a fee. Obviously it all depends on the size of your site (as well as other factors) but hosting fees can start from around £12 per month, with reductions on that if paid annually. The addition of a webstore, bookings system, and other more complex features will make it more expensive, but this is an essential expenditure if your business requires it.

As before, the hosting is registered under your details and payments are made by yourself directly.

Once the domain and hosting are purchased and all fees in place, the design process starts!

What colours did you have in mind? Do you already have a logo? If you need more than one service, you can take advantage of some fabulous deals by creating your own package!

I will keep in touch with you, updating you at every stage, so you can amend or change anything as we go. It would be helpful for you to have some site content ready too, such as a bio of yourself/your business, any images you'd like featured and if you require a shop or bookings system, the content for that too. Of course, I am happy to help you get all of this together if needed, just let me know at the time of signing up.

Do you already have a website, but feel it needs a makeover? Things can change quickly in business, with information and software becoming outdated. It may be difficult to do this yourself, especially if you aren't very tech savvy or no longer in contact with your original designer.

It would be helpful to have your original log in details so the site can be accessed. If you have forgotten your provider then you can check here. You can then contact them directly to source your details.
